Hepatitis Vaccination Risk

According to a recent study published in the journal Neurology, there is yet another disease risk resulting from a vaccination.

In a review of almost 2000 patients between 1993 and 2000, it was discovered that receiving a hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccination increased the risk of developing multiple sclerosis (MS) by over 300%. The disease was found to begin within 3 years of the vaccination.

The authors of the study note that they could not tell if the vaccination actually caused the disease, or if it simply hastened the onset of the disease in individuals already bound to get it in the future.

It is interesting to note that, in 1996, the French government suspended the use of the HBV vaccination in pre-adolescent children after finding that over 200 cases of MS and other neurological diseases occurred in children receiving the vaccination. Continue reading “Hepatitis Vaccination Risk”
