Mediterranean diet protects against stomach cancer

A study of over 485,000 participants showed that those whose diets most closely matched the traditional Mediterranean diet were 33 percent less likely to develop stomach cancer than those who did not follow the diet at all.

In a European study involving 485, 044 men, the men who followed the Mediterranean diet were 33 percent less likely to develop gastric cancer than the men who didn’t follow the diet.
