Commentary suggests alternatives to routine use of OTC cold/cough meds in children

According to the American Academy of Otolaryngology, conservative therapies, including nasal suctioning, humidification, and nasal saline, should be recommended over routine use of OTC cough/cold products in infants and children due to the evidence of significant harm from usage and lack of evidence of efficacy.
