Our Fall Cleanse Group – Detox before the Holidays!

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Come and learn about our fabulous Cleanse and Elimination Diet Group Program at our Orientation Meeting this Thursday – Oct 6th – at 6pm here at Nature Cures Clinic.

This is a great opportunity to learn all about the benefits of cleansing before making a commitment. Our program includes products, support meetings, a shopping trip, acupuncture treatments for detox, exercise program for detox, daily support emails, tips and strategies for success – and lots of laughter!

One of the best practices you can do for your health is to get into the habit of detoxing the liver twice a year. We encourage our patients here at the clinic to look at cleansing as a maintenance program similar to exercise and other beneficial habits. The environment we live in with the multitude of chemicals and toxins we take in everyday coupled with diets that often swerve off track and create additional burden on the liver and gut – not to mention the stress we deal with that heaps on even more burden to our poor bodies! – all of these things combine to create weight gain, fatigue, aches and pains and poor sleep. Yikes! We all need a little help keeping everything in balance.

To learn more – call me at 503-287-4970 to get your questions answered or to let me know you’re coming. Remember – the holidays are coming….it’s time to detox before you retox!

Love,

Maria

New Year’s Resolution: Join the Nature Cures Clinic group cleanse!

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Welcome to the Nature Cures Clinic Group Cleanse and Elimination Diet Program – A program designed to address the most common causes of chronic health issues.

We’ve found that the underlying causes of many of our patients’ health problems are due to toxins in the system. Toxins are not just what we take in from our environment through food, cleaning agents, water and air – but can be created internally too from hormone imbalances, food allergies and stress.

To address these issues we’ve designed a program that combines the benefits of a metabolic cleanse with the Elimination Diet – allowing you to get the most from both efforts by 1) detoxing the liver (and thereby “cleaning the slate” for the elimination diet to be most effective) and 2) using a 9-day cleanse the first week of the elimination diet, which cuts down on the amount of time you are on the diet!

It’s easy as 1…2…3! (more…)

Our Daily Toxic Exposure

Friday, July 9th, 2004

A recent article by neuro-psychologist Sheila Bastien, Ph.D., pointed out that we are exposed to more than 500 chemicals and toxic substances every day. This isn’t surprising given that over 70,000 chemicals are now produced and used regularly.

Dr. Bastien listed just a few of the sources of these chemicals we are exposed to on a daily basis. They include:

“pesticides, secondhand smoke, alcohol, fresh paint, scented products and perfumes, food preservatives and flavor enhancers, aerosols, tap water, cosmetics, new carpets, petroleum products, formaldehyde, outdoor pollutants, cleaning compounds, printing and office products.” (more…)
