Dr. Erika Siegel: Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Erika Siegel grew up in New Jersey, attended Tulane University where she graduated Magna Cum laude with a major in Psychology.  She then moved west to pursue her passion in medicine. While in California taking Western pre-medical classes, she was introduced to alternative lifestyles and Naturopathic medicine, and knew that her life’s work was to become a holistic healer.

Over the next six years, she earned a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Chinese Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM). While she originally moved to Oregon to pursue her education, she quickly fell in love with Portland and has made it home for herself, her husband and two sweet boys.

Dr. Siegel believes strongly that the body has an inherent ability to heal. Her goal is to be a facilitator to that healing process, using a multitude of effective therapeutics.  She works alongside her patients, encouraging them to take an active role in their health.  She listens with a compassionate ear and works from her heart.

Maintaining the balance of mind, body and spirit is the foundation of Dr. Siegel’s philosophy. Prevention is the cornerstone of her Naturopathic approach, and she is committed to finding the root cause of illness, not just treating symptoms.

While trained as a primary care physician, Dr. Siegel specializes in digestive disorders, anxiety, stress reduction, pain management and women’s health (annual exams, PMS, menopause and fertility). She has had the pleasure to work with many women on enhancing fertility and is dedicated to optimizing health for soon-to-be parents with her unique pre-conception treatment plan.

She primarily utilizes acupuncture, nutrition education, herbal medicine, soft tissue work and lifestyle counseling. Combining the tools and wisdom from East and West – learned in medical school and honed in clinical experience – Dr. Siegel offers truly holistic health care. Dr Siegel loves her work and considers it to be an honor and privilege to be invited into the lives of her patients.
