Nature Cures Clinic is is excited to announce that we now have an Far Infrared (FIR) Sauna.

Unlike high-heat saunas, FIR saunas maintain a relatively low air temperature, usually around 120F. Another benefit is that unlike high heat, infrared light actually penetrates through the skin, warming not just the surface but also warming the tissue up to 1.5″ deep. This deep heating makes FIR saunas ideal for raising core body temperature.

While saunas can be used simply for relaxation and stress reduction, our clinic purchased the sauna for its specific beneficial effects on the body. Some of these include:

1) Dramatically enhanced excretion of toxic heavy metals, including mercury, arsenic, cadmium and lead. Some of these toxic metals are concentrated up to 80x higher in the sweat than in the blood.

2) Facilitation of systemic detoxification through removal of excess metabolic wastes.

3) Enhanced lymphatic flow through warming of the lymph vessels lying just below the surface of the skin.

4) Muscle relaxation through enhanced circulation and direct heat penetration of muscles.

5) Improved digestive function, reduced blood pressure and enhanced relaxation through activation of the parasympathetic nervous system.

The Far Infrared Sauna at Nature Cures Clinic can be used as a stand-alone therapy for anyone who would like to utilize it. Here in the clinic we will be incorporating the sauna into larger and more focused detoxification plans. Coupled with an anti-inflammatory diet and our Clinic Detoxification Program, the sauna will greatly enhance our patients’ ability to achieve optimal wellness as quickly and comfortably as possible.

Use of the sauna is open to the public.  Sessions last 40 minutes. Pricing is as follows:

Single use: $40
Unlimited use for 1 month: $150 (see below for qualifications)

When purchasing a month of use, it is limited to 1 session per working day and each session is limited to 40 minutes. This is by far the cheapest and most effective way to use the sauna, and a committed user could do a sauna session every working day if desired.

Clinic patients utilizing the sauna as part of a detoxification program get an additional discount of up to $25 off use of the sauna. Contact our front office for details.
