Friday, 09 May 2008 Dr. J.J. Pursell ND, LAc graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in June of 2007 with her Doctorate of Naturopathy and Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her studies focused on women’s health, chronic pathology, such as MS and Fibromyalgia, as well as a two year concentration in Oncology.
Raised in Nebraska, Dr. Pursell grew up part-time on her dad’s flower farm where her love for plants and the study of botanical medicine first began. Dr. Pursell earned her certification in herbalism in 2000 and uses botanical medicine as a primary modality in her practice. In 2005 she opened The Herb Shoppe – a community based herbal pharmacy with a focus on education and creating available resources to traditional medicine. In addition, Dr. J.J. has worked with and helped animals using herbal remedies and acupuncture. |
