Wednesday, 13 June 2007A Second Opinion is Only a Link AwayMillions of people face chronic disease without access to a local naturopathic physician to consult about treatment options. Even more disturbing, often people receive diagnoses and/or prescriptions that simply don't seem appropriate to them based upon their experience.At the same time, conventional physicians commonly run blood tests on patients to assess various aspects of their health. However, rarely are the results discussed in detail with the patients. In addition, lab results often give hints regarding vitamin and/or minteral dificiencies, nutrient malabsorption or other issues that are easily missed if looking only at the "normal" ranges on tests. Nature Cures Clinic offers two levels of consultation. In the first, patients can work with a naturopathic physician on developing a comprehensive treatment plan to manage an acute or chronic condition. This involves filling out our office intake form and faxing/emailing that to us. After it is reviewed by a physician here a follow-up phone consultation will be scheduled. Ultimately a complete treatment plan will be developed and discussed with you in detail. The second type of consultation is specifically to allow people the opportunity to get a comprehensive interpretation of any lab work they have had done. This involves simply faxing or emailing lab results to our clinic. They will be reviewed by a physician here, then you'll be contacted to schedule a phone consultation to discuss that interpretation.
