Dr. Hilary Costello, naturopathic physician and minor surgeon, centers her practice around families. General primary care and pediatrics bring joy to Dr. Costello's practice, as she loves to improve and optimize the health of each family member, from the newborn to the elderly. She takes time to listen thoroughly, and to evaluate and diagnose each patient as an individual with unique symptoms and experiences-holistic medicine at its finest. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a family doctor and continuing her family’s lineage in homeopathy. Her treatments balance modern medicine and natural therapeutics.
A graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Costello received outstanding clinical training. At NCNM, she specialized in minor surgery, dermatology, classical homeopathy, and obstetrics/natural childbirth. Her doctoral thesis evaluated the benefits of pre-conception planning and analyzed the rise of infertility. Dr. Costello graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, where she received a B.A. in liberal arts. She double majored in biology and fine arts with a minor in religious studies. She had her first of several national painting exhibitions at the age of 15 and continues to nurture her love of art by creating botanical and medical illustrations and oil paintings.
Dr. Costello uses her skillful artistic hand during surgery to achieve the finest results. She specializes in a wide range of minor surgery options, including the use of radiosurgery technology and emergency wound care, classical homeopathy, botanical medicine, detoxification/cleansing programs and craniosacral therapy.
A mother of two beautiful daughters and wife of an organic gardening specialist, she understands the importance of keeping the family healthy and strong. Dr. Costello’s philosophy of preventive care involves the use of gentle and safe medicine. She hopes to create long term relationships based on trust and mutual respect for you and your family.
