Initial naturopathic office visit |

Prior to the first visit the patient will receive an extensive, 8-page intake form to be filled out by the time of the visit. This visit is spent getting an extensive medical history from the patient, including the history of the present illness or complaint. Physical exam is also often included in this visit, and the physician may or may not chose to do a treatment during this visit as well.

Follow-up naturopathic office visit |

The follow-up naturopathic visit involves a detailed review of progress following the treatment plan. Any obstacles to adherence are discussed, and modifications are made according to changes in symptoms that may have taken place since the initial visit. Depending on time, this visit may once again include one or more kinds of treatment.

Follow-up Chinese medicine/acupuncture visit |

For those individuals seeing one of the naturopath/acupuncturists in the clinic, the follow-up visit typically includes a brief review any changes, followed by 20-30 minutes of acupuncture or other type of Chinese medicine (moxabustion, cupping, etc.). Again, the patient leaves with recommendations for follow-up.

Therapeutic massage visit |

After an initial assessment of musculoskeletal alignment, the majority of the massage session involves a range of techniques aimed at resolving underlying structural issues that lead to pain, tension, headaches or a number of other physical symptoms. Techniques may include myofascial release, neuromuscular re-education, trigger point therapy, musculoskeletal manipulation and others, depending upon the assessment by the practitioner.

Initial hypnosis visit |

The first 20-30 minutes of this visit are spent taking a history and determining the precise goals to be attained with the help of hypnosis. Time is also spent introducing the patient to the ideas behind clinical hypnosis, and answering any questions that might come up. The final 20-40 are spent leading the patient through a basic hypnotic induction process, allowing time to get comfortable with developing the relaxed state. Initial therapeutic suggestions are made.

Follow-up hypnosis visit |

This session builds upon the subconscious learning which has already begun to take place following the initial session. It is focused on the activation and utilization of subconscious resources to bring about the desired behavioral or symptomatic change.

Hydrotherapy visit |

Each treatment involves a 5-10 minute intake and review of symptoms followed by 30-40 minutes of alternations in hot and cold applications to specific areas of the body that correlate with the individuals needs. Treatments may include aromatherapy, reflexology and guided meditation.

For individuals without naturopathic or acupuncture insurance coverage, we ask that full payment be made at the time of service.
Nature Cures Clinic also accepts walk-in appointments as time and space allow.
Cancellations require at least 24 hours notice or 70% of the missed office visit will be billed.
