Abbott Northwestern study shows non-drug techniques reduce pain in hospitalized patients
According to a recent study published in the Journal of Patient Safety, the use of non-traditional pain management therapies such as acupuncture, acupressure, massage therapy, healing touch, music therapy, aromatherapy and reflexology were able to reduce post surgical pain by more than 50 percent among several patient populations.
