Naturopathic Views on Mismanaged Thyroid Disease
Listen to: Mismanaged Thyroid Podcast
In this podcast, Dr. Eckel and Dr. Nigh discuss some issues surrounding the mismanagement of thyroid disease. This disease is often misdiagnosed, and therefore mismanaged, leading to very frustrated patients that are left with no answers as to what is causing their ongoing symptoms. Find out how the doctors would approach treating a patient naturopathically, that was suffering with thyroid disease.

I've been making my way through your podcasts and I really enjoy them. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism about 2 years ago. I'm now "chemically normal" and stable on PTU. I understand it is much rarer than hypo, but there is a definite lack of information on the Internet about the condition. I'm particularly interested in nutritional and herbal remedies, if you know of any direction to point me. If I lived in Portland, I would definitely come visit your practice.
